    Merry Etc!
Looks like the collective plan B for New Years has been activated. So I'll be having a get together here. Feel free to drop in, bring food, or don't. Bring booze or don't. We'll be here.

    Now for something completely different.

I wonder if they've realised that they lost yet?

I'd say something snide on Facebook... but I know too many people who might not take it too well. Oh well.

Todd and the Book of Pure Evil
Jason Mewes was shooting a show in Winnipeg and I didn't even know it. Damn it.

So, I finally caught an eppisode of the show, and I enjoyed it. Although, not because it was "good" in the classic sense, so much as that it was enjoyably bad. Much like this wagon wheel I'm gnawing on.

If I had to sum the show up, its Season 1 of Buffy, if Buffy and Giles called in sick every day..... with more vulgarity.... and Jason Mewes.

    Birthday Plans
    Lets see.

Friday the 29th - Driving home to the farm.
Saturday the 30th - Driving back, working Malpractice.
Halloween - Working at the floodway at 11pm
Nov. 1 - Going for dinner somewhere, areound 7pm or so. Likely Sushi King, unless someone's got a suggestion. Rolling back to the house for drinks and such, stay as late as you want.

    The plan
So, I've decided that I'm going to drive out to the farm and switch my brittle little Sunfire out for a big honkin' truck. And I'm thinking of dragging a be-bearded ragamuffin back to the city with me.

Details mostly for Steeves's benefit )

    Bad things come in threes
    1. New Furnace $4700.00, dad paid most of it, but it cost me what little sleep i'd have gotten last weekend.

    2. Taking the wrong line down the gravel road into work, that'll be $1300.00 in car repairs.

    3. Weekend? Haha, oh no, my boss felt compelled to schedule my new weekend overnight guy somewhere else and not tell me. Or more accurately, the overnight guy didn't tell him he couldn't work the shift because he was working somewhere else. So here I am. I suppose I should be happy. It'll cover about 1/10 of the car repair. But I have no idea who's going to pay for my legal defence when I snap and kill everyone.

So, I'm off work at 1530, I'll likely take a nap, but I'd be up for doing something if someone else plans it.

I'm no Mac fan, but this is a nice bit of news for those who are.
Apparently AutoCAD is doing the first Mac version of itself in 18 years. Considering what it does, its kind of a surprise that it was never on Mac's. That said, its a program that runs in the hundreds to thousands of dollars to buy, so its not like anyone who intended to run it didn't have a machine for it.

What must go through their heads
I really have to wonder what goes through the heads of the people who agree to get interviewed by the Daily Show and the Colbert Report. I mean, I suppose some of them might have no clue what the show is, and fail to research it. That said, I'm just wondering how many of these people are just so self deluded that they honestly think they'll come off looking good.

I mean, I suppose one could get suckered in a little bit by a sales pitch of, "Don't worry, only crazy people wind up looking bad, I'm sure your perfectly reasonable stance on this issue will hold you in good stead....... now, I'm just going to let you hold this rope, and I'll go over here.... how much rope? .... oh... enough, just enough, I'd wager."

But really, the woman from Tennessee who sat there and told a guy named Asif Mandvi all the things she "knows" about the Muslim faith, and how every one of them is a terrorist, etc.

    .....

PS - As near as I can tell watching FOX "News" funds the Mosque that they're all pissed off about in NYC... which is... absolutely hillarious.

    No Ordinary Family
This September, Michael Chiklis is in a sci-fi type TV series, and he's going to demonstrate his range.

You see, he's a cop.... who gets super powers, and works with a team of about 4 other people, most of whom are family members. Also he's bullet proof and super strong.

It could be good, or terrible, but I just find it funny that its basically a combination of the character types he's done before.

    NEVER Read the Comments
I just watched a video. It was incredibly dumb. I thought, hey, these people must think this video is dumb too, I'll read their comments.

    .....

Apparently the people who write comments on things at sites like icanhascheezeburber write their comments in character, as though they were lolcats...

    Pride Day
Alright, I want to see if the Sun can beat this for a stupid headline. "Suspicious Package at Pride Parade".

Regardless, a whole chunk of down town was locked down around 7-8 so that the bomb squad could toss a suitcase that supposedly had propane leaking out of it, into their counter blaster thing and then kaboom the hell out of it. It was quite the noise.

... and then I worked the pride social for 7 hours.

    The Worst Part...
    ... its actually pretty fun.

If you've got some lunch hour time to kill.... go to www.teletoon.ca and go to the games section and try the Super Hero Squad: Tower Defence game.

1,322,694 is my best so far.

I think Ryan may have just felt a disturbance in the force...
